It takes around an hour to fully charge each battery.

All pictures are stored in the SD cards of each camera; to access them insert the SD card in a computer and remember to lock the card before inserting back to the camera.

To save weight and reduce the cost of the system, geotagging does not take place on-board. Instead it can quickly be done on a PC through the process outlined in the manual.

GEP4/2 comes with a 2-year warranty, in case something fails we repair or replace immediately.

The 2-year warranty covers all issues that may arise from a software, or hardware problem that is not a result of improper operation or miss-use on your part.

Troubleshooting

Something is preventing the autopilot from granting takeoff permission, please check the error messages below.

Most likely your computer cannot supply enough power to properly run the system, please connect the drone’s battery as well as the USB. Do not worry about the engines starting up, there are multiple safeties preventing that.

Please check that the tablets USB module is connected, and the drone is turned on. If you still can’t connect Contact Us.

They display a basic system status, however please refer to the error messages displayed on the tablet screen for troubleshooting.

For general reference:

  • GREEN    = all OK – ready to takeoff
  • YELLOW = all OK – needing GPS lock or lock insufficient
  • BLUE       = software error, please contact us
  • RED         = system check failed, check message on tablet

Please check the following:

  • Camera battery is charged
  • The correct SD card has been inserted (SD cards are not interchangeable!)
  • Camera battery bay is correctly closed

Please check the following:

  • Camera battery is charged

This usually occurs due to intense vibrations, please check that the propellers are not damaged and no foreign objects are present. Also check that cameras are properly mounted.

Error Messages

The onboard compass is displaying erratic behaviour. Please reboot and perform a compass calibration.

The two onboard compass’s are reporting a different value. Please reboot and perform a compass calibration.

The drone needs GPS lock, please let the drone sit under clear sky to acquire GPS lock. It is the same error message with “Need GPS Lock”.

The onboard gyroscope is reporting erratic values, this may occur if the the drone is carried around while ON and is miss-interpreting the movements. Please reboot and let the drone sit stationary before take-off.

Possibly a critical unexpected system error. Please reboot. If it persists please contact us.

There’s an issue with one of the two compass’s. Please reboot and perform a compass calibration. If it persists please Contact Us.

Your GEP4/2 needs a minimum of 8 satellites to grant permission for take-off. Please wait for an adequate lock.

You will encounter this message when trying to take-off after you have completed a flight but have not swapped batteries or rebooted the drone. Always reboot the drone after each flight and before another. It resets the logging system and preflight checks.
